Z-CoiL doesn’t make half sizes, but every pair includes a 3mm insert to fine-tune the fit. Just order the next whole size up (e.g., if you wear 8.5, order 9) and use the insert for a snug, perfect fit.
Z-CoiL Footwear generally runs true to size. Please order the size you normally wear. If you wear a half size, we recommend ordering the next size up.

Adjusting for Half Sizes
Follow the instructions below to adjust the half sizes. Z-CoiL does not manufacture half sizes. However, every pair includes a 3mm insert to adjust the fit. If you are between sizes, follow these steps:
1. Remove the Insole: Take out the Z-CoiL insole from the shoe.
2. Insert the 3mm Half-Size Insert: Place the insert inside the shoe where the insole was.
3. Reinsert the Insole: Put the insole back on top of the insert.
This adjustment helps achieve the perfect fit for half sizes.
Spring Strength Guide
Z-CoiL shoes come with four different spring strengths, predetermined by shoe size. While most customers find the factory settings ideal, some may need adjustments based on their weight or walking/running style.
Spring Strength Recommendations:
- Small Spring: Women's sizes 5-7 (up to 150 lbs)
- Medium Spring: Women's sizes 8-11, Men's sizes 8-9 (120-200 lbs)
- Large Spring: Men's sizes 10-13 (160-240 lbs)
- XL Spring: Men's size 14+ (220 lbs+)
Tip: Aim to compress the spring about 75% during normal walking. If you "bottom out" (fully compress the spring), consider a stronger spring. If the shoe feels too stiff, you may prefer a softer coil.
Requesting a Stiffer Coil: If you prefer a softer or stiffer coil, please add a note to your order at checkout. We will gladly exchange the coil to suit your needs better.
Width Options
All Z-CoiL shoes are designed with a wider toe box to reduce irritation in the toes and ball of the foot.
Width Descriptions:
- D Width (Wide): Available in the Freedom, Legend (all), Olivia, Sofia, Toffler, and styles.
- E Width (Extra Wide): Available in the Outback, Prime, and Sidewinder styles.
Choose the width that provides the most comfort and accommodates your foot shape.

Life saver
These take a minute to get used to, but wow.. I've had feet troubles most of my life, I'm 56 now..and these help with my severe osteoarthritus knees, to all my feet issues. Week ankles, thin bones, plantar . Amazing. Top of the clouds, recommend!!!!
Pain to no pain
I really do believe these shoes came from a blessing from God. When I received my Z-coil and put them on my feet I went from excruciating pain to bearable pain. These shoes are definitely my shoes of choice for the rest of my life.

I work on my feet all day long and was having serious pain in my feet. Swelling Every day and PAIN. I started going to the podiatrist they put me on steroids then they start giving me Cortizone shots and still the pain was unbearable. Someone introduce me to these shoes. Zcoil saved my life
15 years ago, my husband rqn into to someone with zcoils he was told they changed her life. He came home and took me to the zcoil store. I went in could hardly walk, and came out of the store a new person. I could walk with no pain. The pain was so bad i would need a wheel chair to get around for times that there was long walks. I knew i would be in a wheelchair. With these shoes i can hike, walk, shop, and run with the grandkids. Thank you for being there and giving me life.
