Correcting Over-Pronation

When you over-pronate, you roll too far to the inside of your foot when you walk. You can often tell if you're over-pronating if you wear out the inside of your shoes in the forefoot. When you over-pronate, your ankles, knees, and hips also over rotate which can cause pain. Z-CoiL can help correct your over-pronation. If you over-pronate, we can customize your coil settings to help you adjust your gait.

The springs we use in our coils have more resistance on the outside of the foot, which helps facilitate a normal smooth walking gait from outside heel to big toe. However, if you over-pronate, we can rotate the coils 90 degrees for mild over-pronation or 180 degrees for severe over-pronation. If you're unsure, give us a call and one our pain relief experts can help you figure out what works best for you.

Over-pronation can become a serious problem, so you should address it quickly before it gets worse. If you over-pronate when you walk, you are compromising your foot's ability to absorb shock. Over time, this becomes a vicious cycle, as you keep adversely adjusting your gait to compensate for pain, which only diminishes your body's ability to properly absorb the force of impact that comes from walking on hard surfaces. And so your pain gets worse, which means your gait cycle gets worse, which means your pain gets worse...and on, and on, until the pain is unbearable and your mobility is severely compromised.

The good news is that over-pronation is a problem Z-CoiL Pain Relief Footwear can fix.
